Seminar on Cooperation during the CMA 2014! “Cooperative as an Economic Model”

Dégelis (QC) – April 9, 2014 - "Cooperative as an Economic Model" is what participants to the seminar on cooperation, next August 18 and 19, will discover in Dégelis. From the small business to the multinational, as well as the medium-sized business, the focus will be on approximately fifty cooperatives and support agencies throughout the seminar organized within the Economic Summit of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014.

"This seminar on cooperation will highlight businesses that have encouraged « cooperation » as a business model. It will be the ideal platform for economic stakeholders to share their knowledge and experience when faced with cooperation as a business model, which is the model of the future for rural areas such as the territory of Acadia of the Lands and Forests.", explained Mr. Serge Ouellet, General Manager of the Société d'aide au développement de la collectivité.

This seminar, a uniting event held in a festive atmosphere, will focus on days of exchanges and networking which will foster discovery and business links between participants. The latter will have the opportunity to attend conferences, to participate in panel discussions and to a trade exhibition. More than 250 participants who work in the field of cooperation, traditional entrepreneurs or people interested in learning more about cooperatives are expected for the seminar « Cooperative as an Economic Model ». About... The Congrès mondial acadien is a gathering held every five years uniting the Acadian diaspora from all over the world. Many activities are planned over a two week period, i.e. from August 8th to the 24th, 2014. The event draws on the community's commitment and promotes the Acadian culture, heritage and amenities.
