Edmundston (NB) –  At less than 75 days before the big kick-off of the festivities, the organizers of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014 invite the Arsenault, Comeau, Landry, LeBlanc, Savoie families, and all others, to register now to their family gathering to be held from August 8 to 24.

Edmundston (NB) –  At less than 75 days before the big kick-off of the festivities, the organizers of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014 invite the Arsenault, Comeau, Landry, LeBlanc, Savoie families, and all others to register now to their family gathering to be held from August 8 to 24.

More than 120 families will gather in Acadia of the Lands and Forests in August for highly colorful and emotional reunions. The organizing committees of the various family gatherings have been working hard for the last severals months to develop programs of activities which will mark the memories of relatives who will come from the four corners of Acadia and from elsewhere for the occasion.

In order to promote all the family gatherings and allow local people to register now for their reunion, registration sessions will be held in the three regions of Acadia of the Lands and Forests. These registration sessions will allow organizers to clarify certain details of their preparations according to the number of registrants. That is why you are expected in large numbers at the three sessions on the following dates and times:

"Family gatherings are at the heart of the programming of this fifth Congrès mondial acadien. Participation in a family meeting is a fun and ideal opportunity to discover more about your heritage, but also to reconnect with distant cousins and forge new family ties. For many of these families, it is a tradition to meet at every Congrès mondial acadien and, for others, it will be a first that will certainly mark the family history. ", said Mr. Émilien Nadeau, President of the CMA 2014.

About the CMA...

Le Congrès mondial acadien is a grand reunion that happens every five years that calls for the Acadian diaspora around the world. Several activities will be offered for more than two weeks, from August 8 to 24, 2014. The event is based on community involvement and allows to assert its culture, heritage and attractions.
