Edmundston (NB)- January 23, 2015 – As part of the follow-up activities of the Economic Component of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014, a first mobilization forum on Experiential Tourism was held last Saturday in Edmundston. Presented by the Regional Tourism Committee, a work group supported by the Core Leadership Team of Acadia of the Lands and Forests (ALF), in partnership with “Expérience Acadie” and “Acadie Gourmet”. The goal of this forum was to strengthen the skills of tourism operators of the ALF region in regards to experiential tourism and local gastronomy.
Edmundston (NB) - December 17th, 2014 – This morning, the CMA 2014's organizers proudly presented the interim report of their activities, the "Analysis of the advertising value equivalent of the media coverage'' as well as the study on the economic and social impact of the 5th Congrès mondial acadien held in Acadia of the Lands and Forests last August 8 to 24.
Edmundston (NB - December 10, 2014 – The core leadership team of Acadia of the Lands and Forests ends 2014 on a positive note as the 40 leaders met and discussed with the business community of Témiscouata, which gathered Monday night in a large number for the occasion at the BeauLieu Culturel of Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac.

Edmundston (N-B) - August 23rd – It is with true optimism that today we ended the Economic Summit organized for the Congrès mondial acadien 2014. Close to 200 business people – economic and politic actors from the region of Acadia of the Forests and Lands, the entire Acadia, as well as Canadian and international Francophonie – participated to the fruitful exchanges and discussions aiming to facilitate economic trades, to review the work that went into the preparation of the CMA 2014 and to prepare for the economic impact of this great unifying event.
During the last year, triplets were formed, uniting municipalities from New-Brunswick , Maine and Témiscouata. They met twice to create common projects. On this las day of the CMA 2014, the municipalities of Témiscouata now play host during a series of festive community activties.Participate at your triplets' morning activity and the triplets parade that will bring together participants from each community of Acadia of the Lands and Forests! Edmundston (N.-B.) –– La prise en main de la santé et du mieux-être par et pour les aînés fut au cœur des échanges lors de la première journée du Sommet des aînés qui débutait ce matin à la Cité des Jeunes A.-M. Sormany d’Edmundston.
Edmundston (N.-B.) –– Près de 200 délégués sont attendus à Edmundston pour le tout premier Sommet des aînés qui se tiendra les 19 et 20 août à la Cité des Jeunes A.-M. Sormany sous le thème Les aînés du 21e siècle : en quête d’une vie meilleure. Cette participation réjouit le comité organisateur et l’Association francophone des aînés du N.-B. (AFANB), organisme porteur du projet. Grâce au concours de ses principaux partenaires - le Congrès mondial acadien 2014, la Fédération des Aînées et Aînés Francophones du Canada, le Carrefour 50+ du Québec et les Aînés du Maine – l’événement a rejoint et suscité la participation d’aînés francophones des quatre coins du pays, dont plusieurs groupes organisés, notamment en provenance de la Nouvelle-Écosse, du Québec, et du Nouveau-Brunswick.
There are more than 10,000 Acadians and their friends gathered in Madawaska, Maine for a magical tintamarre.The show « Acadie fille d'Amérique » has also been successful, despite a sound problem at the beginningof the show. A production of this scale is based on a wide range of amenities. Although the situation is distressing and a multitude of precautions are taken to avoid technical problems, the possibility is always there.
The concert of religious music and the August 15 large-scale outdoor mass will be held inside the Multipurpose Center, Madaaska, ME because of the uncertain weather conditions. See you there ! Please note that all other activties of the Acadian National Day in Madawaska, ME will be held outside as planned.
All activities at ExpoMONDE today, August 14 have been canceled due to weather conditions. As ExpoMONDE was already close for the Acadian National Day on Aug. 15, the international showcase will open at noon (NB time) Saturday, August 16. The activities planned for today will be postponed until next week. However, the show of the French artist, Tibert scheduled today at 3:30 pm at ExpoMONDE is rescheduled for tonight August 14th at 8:00 pm at the MultiMEDIA Pavilion. The new schedule will be ExpoMONDE will be available shortly.

Fort Kent (ME) —Breaking down barriers to trade between the U.S., Canada and even Europe is the driving force behind a two-day conference on exporting this August in Fort Kent. The Economic component of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014, along with its partners in Maine, like Aroostook Partnership for Progress (APP), Northern Maine Development Commission (NMDC) and Department economics and community of development (DECD), will host a conference on the basics of exporting custums and their regulations. This conference is scheduled for Aug. 19 and 20 at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, all contractors wishing to increase trade in the targeted areas are welcome.
EXPOMONDE Centre E. & P. Sénéchal, 60, rue Ouellette, Grand-Sault, NB The protocol sector, under the supervision of general management of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014, is looking for a protocol agent. Reporting to the Coordinator of Protocol, the successful candidate will be responsible for the permanent VIP lounge at ExpoMONDE where he will greet the dignitaries between August 14 and 24, 2014 in Grand Falls. The protocol sector of the CMA is the first contact point for visiting dignitaries. It is therefore essential that the protocol officer has a good knowledge of the area and of the Congrès mondial acadien’s programming, as well as affirmed organizational and interpersonal skills.
Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac (QC) – The Congrès mondial acadien 2014 unveiled this morning, in collaboration with the MRC de Témiscouata and the Parc national du Lac-Témiscouata, the program of activities of three of the four symposia and conferences that will take place in the Québec region of Acadia of the Lands and Forests in the context of this summer’s major celebrations. These three important events will address current issues and topics, such as renewable energy, local governance and parks.
Edmundston (N-B) – This morning, the Congrès mondial Acadien 2014 unveiled its program schedule for the economic summit to be held August 21st and 22nd, 2014 at the Edmundston Convention Center. The theme of this event is “Growing Together”. In the course of the 30 months prior to the CMA, numerous economic initiatives were put in place. The economic summit will be the result of undertakings that were carried out during that period but it will also be launching the groundwork in preparation for the economic plan of action in the aftermath of the CMA. The summit will bring together business leaders, various public and political stakeholders of Acadia of the Lands and Forests, of Acadia collectively and the Canadian and international French-speaking communities.
Edmundston (NB) – The Scouts and Guides of Acadie of the world, as well as the elders of the movement, will meet next August 13th and 14th during the Congrès mondial acadien for two days of colorful reunions. This is an opportunity for the thousands of people interested in the scout and guide movement to socialize and reconnect with the values and basics of the movement.
Contrary to what journalist Antoine Trépanier reported in an article dated July 17, the CMA 2014 is in excellent financial health. The CMA relies on the financial commitments of the participating governments and the great success of its partnerships program with the private sector.

Grand Falls (NB) – This morning the organizing committee spearheading the seminar on agriculture and the agri-food sector has unveiled its program scheduled. The seminar entitled “From the Earth to your Table by Way of Innovation” will be held August 17th and 18th at the E & P Sénéchal Center in Grand Falls during the CMA 2014.
Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac -June 18 – The CMA 2014 is heading toward the home stretch; the organization has launched its official program schedule 50 days prior to the kick-off of this major event as Acadia will, without a doubt, resonate from August 8th to the 24th. 120 family reunions, 200 community events, pillar days scheduled for August 8th, 15th and 24th, the MultiMEDIA Pavilion and ExpoMONDE, entire families will be able to enjoy countless activities.
