Common reality and shared challenges: A call for collaboration
August 22 - 23 – BeauLieu Culturel Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac

The local governance seminar wants to be a unifying and festive event to inspire and create lasting relationships between the three regions of Acadia of the Lands and Forests. In addition, the conference is a place for reflection on common issues in local governance in all three regions, and elsewhere. Although the three regions are separated by boundaries that sometimes seem insurmountable, they nevertheless share a common reality amid rural economy and agroforestry. These shared realities are such that the three regions face the same challenges of governance.

During the two-day conference, participants will have the opportunity to attend various panels and conferences, with leaders such as Mr. Jean-Paul L'Allier, former mayor of the city of Quebec, Mr. Cyrille Simard, Mayor of Edmundston and Mr. Jason Godin, Mayor of the village of Maisonnette.

The place of parks in the 21st century
August 16 - 17 – Parc national du Lac-Témiscouata

Parks are important tools for the preservation of our heritage and culture. The Parc national du Lac-Témiscouata will offer visitors a popular conference during which scientists and artists will be included to enrich the summer program. This event is an opportunity for sharing, education and collaboration among various parks around two important themes: Nature and Culture. The participants will have the opportunity to assist at a conference by Mr. Serge Bouchard, Anthropologist and Animator, and listen to anecdotes from storytellers such as Mr. Kevin Arseneau from New Brunswick and Mr. Gregory Chabot from Maine.
