The core leadership team of Acadia of the Lands and Forests maintains its momentum!

Edmundston (NB - December 10, 2014 – The core leadership team of Acadia of the Lands and Forests ends 2014 on a positive note as the 40 leaders met and discussed with the business community of Témiscouata, which gathered Monday night in a large number for the occasion at the BeauLieu Culturel of Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac.

Acadia of the Lands and Forests' core leadership team is committed to an action plan relying on a coherent regional approach which sees the political borders of the Acadia of the Lands and Forests as business opportunities instead of obstacles.

Ms. Lise Ouellet, President of the core leadership team, stated: "Together, we aim to build the mechanisms which will maximize the potential of our businesses and institutions to ensure the future of our cross-border region. It is important that we show to our entrepreneurs, our youth and our local people that success is possible here, in Acadia of the Lands and Forests."

This initiative, which facilitates and encourages the interregional exchanges in Acadia of the Lands and Forests, is a product of the 2014 World Acadian Congress' Economic Component initiatives.

Mr. Émilien Nadeau, President of the CMA 2014, shared: "The collaborative spirit between the three regions of Acadia of the Lands and Forests that emerged during the preparations and take root during the World Acadian Congress need to continue. These 40 leaders are pivotal elements to ensure that the Acadia of the Lands and Forests territory and its communities keep flourishing together on the economic and the social aspects."

It may be recalled that the core leadership team of Acadia of the Lands and Forest consists of representatives from the territory's three regions in fields of expertise such as economic development, local governance, education sector, health and business, plus we can count on the participation of youth and First Nations representatives.

Next December 17th, the organizers of the CMA 2014 will present a review of their activities as well as the economic and social impact of the 5th World Acadian Congress that was held in Acadia of the Lands and Forests from August 8 to 24 of this year.
