One way ticket to the Grand Youth Rally

In 2004, on the fringe of the Congrès mondial acadien in Nova Scotia, acadian and francophone youth gathered for the first Grand rassemblement jeunesse, an event organized by the Société Nationale de l'Acadie. Halifax hosted 250 participants, from the Atlantic provinces, Quebec, Canada and the entire planet. A glimpse of the future was presented in Nova Scotia's capital. Workshops and projects showcased a strong common identity. In 2009, the Grand rassemblement jeunesse's place was solidified in a new Acadie, during its second edition, held in the Acadian Peninsula.. Read more...

During his visit to Fort Kent, Maine last week, Governor LePage took the time to meet with the executive of the Maine Regional Committee to discuss the latest developments in the organization of the 2014 celebrations.

Co-Chair of the COCMA and President of the Maine Regional Committee, George Dumont, has taken the opportunity to present Governor LePage with a commemorative license plate issued by the State of Maine in order to support the Congrès mondial acadien 2014. The organizers also thanked Governor LePage for his efforts in securing the funds, allocated by the state, that allow Maine to participate in this historic event which is the Congrès mondial acadien 2014.

The Congrès mondial acadien (CMA) 2014 will propose, from August 11 to 23, a series of activities under the banner Conferences and Symposiums. This component will allow Acadians to exchange on major issues, thus encouraging reflections on today's and tomorrow's Acadia. Read more...

The general public is now able to obtain their passes for the August 15, 2013 show in Saint-Quentin in New Brunswick. The passes for this pre-congress show are now available, free, on our web site at  www.cma2014.com/carte-blanche-a-l-acadie, at the office of the Festival Western and at the tourism center in Saint-Quentin, or at the offices of the CMA 2014 at 165 Hébert Boulevard in Edmundston.Read more...

 

Nadine BolducAppointment of Nadine Bolduc - NB Coordinator

The Congrès mondial acadien 2014's team is pleased to announce the appointment of Nadine Bolduc as NB Regional Coordinator. As part of her new functions, Nadine will work to plan, organize and implement the programming of different activities, mainly family gatherings and community activities, held in north-western New-Brunswick during the Congrès mondial acadien 2014.

The Congrès mondial acadien 2014 (CMA 2014) is seeking support from the population of Acadia of the Lands and Forests in order to create a data base for private accommodations.
