“Realize your Business Dream” evening Gala

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the business plan contest, participants must:

  • Submit a two-page executive summary, an approximately two-minute video, and pay the $20 registration fee before May 16th, 2014;
  • Participants must submit a comprehensive business plan before June 27th, 2014;
  • Projects should aim to create a new company and have a start-up date no later than December 31st, 2014;
  • Applicants must submit a business project that is the initial start-up phase;
  • Participants must commit to participate in training sessions offered with the development of the business plan;
  • Applicants must be aged between 18 and 34 years of age;
  • Candidates do not have to be residents of the territory of Acadia of the Lands and Forests, but must subsequently establish their business in one of the three regions;
  • Candidates cannot present more than one project;
  • Participants must own a valid passport.

Will not be eligible for the contest the following business projects:

  • That are the creation of a new company that is an extension of an already existing business, or its expansion;
  • That would modify elements in the legal status of an already existing business.


The contest reserves the right to exclude, at any time, a participant that falsifies data, provides inaccurate or false information or commits plagiarism.

The contest reserves the right to refuse, to its exclusive discretion, all propositions involving a product that would be illegal in the jurisdiction in which the project would be implemented or that may negatively affect the contest’s reputation.

The business plans, the presentations and other documentation must have been written or developed by the participant or participants. The documents from a third party that are protected by copyright, including images and videos, may be used exclusively with the express consent of the copyright holder and the participants must be able to provide, at any given time, proof of any such authorization should the contest ask for it.
