The Grand Youth Rally has its own Web site!
Dieppe (NB) – The Société Nationale de l’Acadie (SNA) and the Congrès Mondial Acadien 2014 (CMA 2014) are proud to officially launch the 2014 Grand Youth Rally’s (GRJ 2014) new Web site.By visiting www.grj2014.com, people can find a preview of the program, general information about the event as well as videos produced during the two previous rallies (2004 and 2009).
The GRJ 2014 Web site also presents the new colors of the Congrès mondial acadien’s youth event; the visual images were produced by the graphic designers at SHED espace créatif.
“It’s a young, dynamic Web site that’s full of energy! A site that greatly portrays the GRJ’s essence. We are very proud to present it to the public, particularly to young Acadians and teenagers from the French-speaking world”, says Céleste Godin, SNA youth counsellor. “I encourage people from 12 to 25 years old to visit it. You’ll want to sign up, for sure!” she added.
Furthermore, people from 12 to 25 years old who are interested in participating are encouraged to preregister online. A special invitation will be sent before official registration begins in September.
“Youth remains a priority in our thoughts and our planning for 2014. The Grand Youth Rally is obviously the main event, but we would like young people to actively participate in every other component of the program. They must contribute, and we are happy to make room for them in the CMA 2014!” mentions CMA 2014 President, Émilien Nadeau.
The information contained on the Web site will be consistently updated with new elements of the program, important dates, and event of the Commission jeunesse de l’Acadie (CJA).
The Grand Youth Rally is the official youth event of the Congrès mondial Acadian 2014. It will join together between 300 and 400 young francophone and French-loving Acadians and the rest of the French-speaking world in the Pohénégamook municipality, in Québec, from August 12th to 17th, 2014.
The Congrès mondial acadien is a gathering held every five years uniting the Acadian diaspora from all over the world. Many activities are planned over a two week period, i.e. from August 8th to the 24th, 2014. The event draws on the community’s commitment and promotes the Acadian culture, heritage and amenities.
