  • Launching of the CMA 2014 Theme Song:

    Edmundston (N.B.) – The theme song of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014 "Mon tour de te bercer" is being launched today, with several people attending the first live, public rendition of the song in Acadia of the Lands and Forests.

    Together for the very first time as a duet, Roch Voisine and Natasha St-Pier join their voices to the thousands of Acadians for this rallying song that offers the whole world a vibrant portrait of today's and tomorrow's Acadia.

    The president of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014, Émilien Nadeau, is delighted that this anticipated event is at our doors today: "We have been awaiting this moment with excitement and we are greatly pleased with the results, which proves the cultural vitality of Acadia. "Mon tour de te bercer" will guide us, with enthusiasm, towards the Congrès mondial acadien 2014.", said Mr. Nadeau.

    Our Acadia of the world will vibrate to the sound of "Mon tour de te bercer", as it will be broadcasted,

  • Summer Jobs 2013

    Six positions are currently open at the 2014 World Acadian Congress for summer jobs for a period of eight weeks through Canada Summer Jobs. Four of these positions are from Service Canada (Quebec) and two of these positions are from Service Canada (New Brunswick).

     
  • Saint-Quentin Hosts The Grand Show of August 15th, 2013

    Moncton, April 24, 2013 – This year, the grand show of Acadian National Day, broadcast by Radio-Canada, will be held in Saint-Quentin.  The show will be organized by the Congrès mondial acadien 2014 in collaboration with the city of Saint-Quentin, the Festival Western de Saint-Quentin and Radio-Canada Acadie.

    Under the supervision of the CMA 2014 Executive Directorand inclose collaboration with the Regional Committee of NB, the candidate will work to plan, organize and implement the programming of different acitivities, mainly family gatherings and community activities held in north-western New-Brunswick during the Congrès mondial acadien 2014.

     
  • Women's Summit: Everywhere, Women decide...Women Act!

    Edmundston (N.B.) – The Congrès mondial acadien 2014 has recently concluded a partnership agreement with the Regroupement féministe du Nouveau-Brunswick (RFNB) to organize the Women's Summit. The Women's Summit Orientation Committee met for the very first time, in Edmundston, on March 4th and 5th. This event, which will bring together over 200 women, will be held March 17th to 19th, 2014, under the theme "Everywhere, Women Decide... Women Act!".

     
  • CMA 2014 Theme Song: The jury has chosen “Mon tour de te bercer”!

    Edmundston (N.B.) – The theme song of the next Congrès mondial acadien is « Mon tour de te bercer », lyrics by Samuel Chiasson and music by George Belliveau. The official version of the theme song of the CMA 2014 will be performed, in duet, by Roch Voisine and Natasha St-Pier and will be aired on all the radio stations as soon as it is released in May. It will also be heard at promotional events and during the Congrès mondial acadien 2014. The details concerning the release and marketing will be unveiled during the next few weeks.

     
  • The Mouvement Desjardins, Gold Partner of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014

    Edmundston (N.B.), Wednesday, March 6, 2013 - The Congrès mondial acadien (CMA) 2014 will welcome the Acadia of the world with the Mouvement Desjardins by its side. Mr. Léo Paul Charest, Executive Director of the CMA 2014 and Mr. Michel Roussy, Regional Vice-President Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine, of the Mouvement Desjardins, have officialised, today, their partnership which will contribute to the success of this major gathering.

    Edmundston (NB) – For the past few days, the CMA 2014 has been providing an on-line directory to facilitate the process of finding accommodations in the region for individuals interested in celebrating Acadia of the World in 2014. This directory is designed to help users consult available accommodations, by cities and villages, on the entire territory of Acadia of Lands and Forests.
