Professional Table Service Training Offered

Madawaska, ME - The Maine Regional Coordinating Committee (MRCC) of the Congrès Mondial Acadien 2014 in collaboration with New Brunswick Tourism will be offering a Professional Table Service Training on Monday February 24 from 9am to 12noon at the MRCC Office in Madawaska (MOPC Building – 2nd Floor). This training is dedicated to improving the technical skills in professional table service. Competition CMA Business Plan 2014Concours-plan

Through the CMA 2014 economic component, under the theme "Realize your business dream!, the first business plan competition is launched in the region of l’Acadie des terres et forêts . This contest is organized under the economic component of 2014 World Acadian Congress. The business plan competition aims at creating and starting three companies on the territory of the l’Acadie des terres et forêts by young people aged between 18 to 34 years.
It also aims to educate young people about entrepreneurship and business creation opportunities within the host territory of the fifth Congrès Mondial Acadien, to highlight the existing support services to small businesses in the region, and to encourage networking and the development of business contacts between regions. The Legend of St-Benoit

The Local Committee of CMA 2014 in Packington invites you to their pre-conference activity "Legend of St. Benedict," a historical tale starring Samuel Moreau and surprise guests. There will also be a presentation on the Acadian identity. One way ticket, Grand gatherings

Once again, the Congrès mondial acadien 2014 is innovative! Indeed, to break traditions, it is now three large gatherings that are planned in l’Acadie des terres et forêts in the summer of 2014. In addition to the Women's Summit and Grand youth rally programed on previous CMAs, the organizers of the next Congrès mondial acadien 2014 wanted to make a special place for people aged 50 and over. Mr. Jean -Guy Poitras holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Science and a PhD in physical education. Professor Emeritus of Education sector, Kinesiology and Recreology Edmundston Campus, he is very active in several social and sporting organizations. Mr. Poitras is the author of some fifty volumes in the field of sport , health and family history, and it is three times winner of Percy W. Foy competition (1995, 2002 and 2010 ), prize by the French - Canadian Genealogical Society for the best reference book. Previously, Mr. Poitras was Area Manager, Director of Educational Services and Vice -President acting in Edmundston Campus .Read more...

 

The Acadians of l'Acadie des terres et forêts

On Sunday, March 23, 2014, Richelieu Hall Sports Centre and Cultural Fair, the committee "Clair CMA 2014" invites you to its pre-Congress activities to meet three guest speakers to tell the story of the Acadian land and forests. This beautiful story will be presented by Lise Pelletier (Acadian Aroostook, Maine), Samuel Moreau (Acadian Témiscouata) and Nicole Lang (Madawaska Acadian, Victoria, Restigouche).
