The region of Acadia of the Lands and Forests spreads over two countries: Canada and the United States.To participate in all the activities offered in our program of events, you should bring your passport to be able to move freely throughout the host region.We advise you to inquire about the applicable border crossing laws and customs policies for both countries, and read carefully the following information concerning:

Currency

The 2014 World Acadian Congress will take place in the region of Acadia of the Lands and Forests, a region which spreads over two provinces and two countries. Two different currencies are used in the region: the Canadian dollar and the American dollar. Sales taxes on goods and services also differ according to the laws of the two Canadian provinces and the state of Maine.
