John was a Professor at LSU in Baton Rouge, LA for 33 years and has been retired for 14 years. He is President of the Hebert Association in Louisiana.

Kathy was the Director of Business Services for the Ascension Parish School System in Louisiana and has been retired for 5 years. Kathy has been dabbling in genealogy for about 30 years.
